@jacobinfante24 Most Bears fans have been begging for a Bears GM to focus on offense and bring the organization to this millennium. Looks like Poles has actually done it. Have to hope his team building leads to consistent winning now, but overall it looks very promising.
@WaddleandSilvy@DriveToyota I'm surprised this is even a Convo. Poles actually looks like he did a successful rebuild, found a franchise QB, hired a top offensive mind as HC, and won the division+a playoff game for the first time in 15 years. We need to see year to year success, but it doesn't seem close.
@usaydkoshul Ben Johnson was the HC last offseason when Poles signed Dayo and Jarrett? Are you saying if Poles hits on future dl picks the credit goes to Johnson even if he was also HC when Poles signed those players?
@thedude4442 I don't think this is the case as you can stagger contracts hits. Lions are a good example of this now with Goff, LaPorta, Sewell, Amon ra, and Jameson Williams. How Caleb structures his deal will be a big factor.
@TheIanLang@BrettKollmann It's just one of those for me it doesn't have to be a Caleb vs Drake vs Daniels. Year 1 Daniels was best, this year clearly Drake, but as a Bears fan I wouldn't trade either for Caleb who I think the same will end up the best and is also really good now. Just a fun class.
@SharpFootball One of the biggest markets in football + one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL last year. The offense should take a step even heading into year 2 of the system. Idk how it'll go, but no doubt every network was battling for Chicago after seeing the wild finishes last year
Games leaked so far for the #Bears
Week 1: @ Carolina
Week 3: vs PHI (MNF)
Week 7: vs NE (TNF)
Week 9: vs TB (SNF)
Week 12: @ DET (Thanksgiving)
NFL is featuring Caleb and Co. on primetime heavily in 2026
@SharpFootball I just think, given the parity we see in the NFL each year, strength of schedule is one of the least important metrics used in NFL conversations each year regardless of how you set it up. Especially when used in conversations on a teams potential success.
@SigmundBloom I just think it's a little weird Thomas isn't going higher given Ben Johnson's 100% hit rate of guys drafted or signed from FA into his offenses over the last 5 years. The WR3 spot wide open on our offense and Ben Johnson clearly has a set role for him and isn't going anywhere.
@Marcus_Mosher@SigmundBloom Weeks 1-7 Rome was on pace for 136 targets, 1150 yards, 12 TDs. T
Cronin Reported he broke his foot week 8 and tried to play through it. This is where Loveland started to take off. I kinda agree with you but also think with DJ out, Rome + Loveland can both out up top numbers.
@_NickWhalen Why include centers drafted round 1 in this? I think we can agree the expectations for players drafted round 1 should be different than round 2. Especially if you're an interior OL drafted round 1. I imagine there is a 100% start rate for interior OL drafted round 1.
@SharpFootball A few factors I don't think a lot of people realize for the bears last year
- we're projected (this time last year) for a top 5 hardest schedule
- were the most injured team in the NFL last season by missed starts
- new offensive and defensive scheme with the new coaching staff
@Johnathan_Wood1@EDuerrwaechter I actually think he's DT5 in snaps behind the snaps Dayo will likely play in DT. Given the reporting on how high the bears were on him, I do think he makes the roster without much question, which I normally wouldn't say for a late 6th rounder.

@SleeperBears Seattle being our first game is a win-win. If we lose, we get a big 10 day gap until week 2 for Ben Johnson to make changes. If we win, it puts an early statement victory for us and sets expectations on the season. Perfect situation really.
@Serit0nin@HogeAndJahns Yeah I got tired of looking back to see if I could find it haha. The most recent back to back ones are Fuller and Long and even to find back to back ones before that is depressing. It's too early to guarantee, but with Loveland the thought of 4 straight picks is unheard of
