A traditional Johad (pond) was formally inaugurated on 10th February 2026 in Pehal village of Alwar, Rajasthan.

This initiative was undertaken by FIDEV, Germany; @Time_To_Help, Germany; Hope and Action Foundation, New Delhi; and the @CSR_India, New Delhi.

The rejuvenation of the Pehal Johad has officially begun today, marking an important step toward strengthening community-led water security in Mundawar Block, Khairthal-Tijara District, Rajasthan.

This initiative is being carried out by the Centre for Social Research as part of our long-term commitment to sustainable water management and rural resilience.

Centre for Social Research and implementing partner STA hosted an inaugural event with over 150 attendees, including community women, children, and local leaders.

A life-transforming environmental project started by us and our three partner organisations, @CSR_India, @EmbraceRelief and @Time_To_Help has just been completed. A dried pond has been rejuvenated to recharge the groundwater table and sustain life in a village in Rajasthan.
