Listening to the emo/wavy rap of 2018, it seems like Kanye’s biggest influence will end up being 808s and Heartbreaks
Listening to the things Kanye’s said since 2018, it seems like that’s for the best
@tompsee@Bretontheradio “It’s is in the middle of the state. It’s big, so big. Some people say it’s the biggest in the world. Lots of people have died trying to get over it, lots of people. Some folks even got stuck and ate each other, at least that’s what they tell me. We filled it with dinosaurs...”
It’s sad to listen through 2018 and be reminded of Nicki Minaj’s Queen album. The cover art is ridiculously gratuitous and the lead single (Barbie Dreams) is just name dropping up and coming rappers to try and get some traction. She’s better than that.
@fsponge Honestly, I at first thought there was some old, forgotten musician named Joe N***er because it didn’t even cross my mind that they’d sensor 2/3rds of “Cocker”
Can’t listen to the Jackson 5 anymore since you watched Leaving Neverland? With enough liquor in your system sounds kinda, maybe, close to “I Want You Back”
@gotobedjordan I agree with you that we’re hearing the antonym version of what people really think of Trump, and this damn Simpson’s clip has been in my mind for at least two and a half years

@kath_krueger@ByYourLogic That’s totally fair. Also, Cars 3 is a legitimately great movie about stepping aside and letting the younger generation shine.
@Bretontheradio The physical format: no. But I do miss the idea of an album. Lots of artists still do ‘em, but I’ve lost the attention span for more than a single most of the time.
@IwriteOK There’s gonna be so many bad parodies of this. Comedians need to just leave it alone. You can’t put a hat on a hat. (credit to knowledge fight for teaching me that phrase)
