@lucy9760 The oil is extracted under license by various companies that process and sell it. Scotland has many jobs from it and a share of the tax it generates. Renewables are subsidised by UK as a whole and Scotland benefits from this. Facts matter
@RichardGCorbett under the Dublin agreement UK received more asylum seekers than it returned. It is disinformation that UK could effectively use it to return people to EU countries.

@J4m35c4mpb3ll It’s called Schengen lol, Scotland would have to join it, no opt out. UK isn’t in Schengen, so a hard border it is if Scotland was ever independent and in EU. RoI/NI have the GFA.
@LizWebsterSBF UK the fastest growing European G7 country, IMF estimates in 2024 UK the strongest growth of 4 European G7 and UK will have higher GDP growth than the three other European G7 in 2025 & 2026. UK is projected to be the fastest growing European G7 each year until 2030.
@andie1105 You think the alternatives to Starmer will be any better? We just had 14 years of the most corrupt racist Tory Gov who are now being taken over by an even more racist and hopeless Reform
@implausibleblog EU couldn’t agree a deal with Australia so an EU trade deal with India is unlikely or it will be a watered down version that will take years to ratify, and in any case it would have benefited the rest of EU and its protectionist industries more, rather than UK.
@Roisin33111@jimac111 ‘They’ didn’t close your refinery, it became uneconomical and the business itself closed. SNP didn’t help https://t.co/LILjZyjF0J
@BeckettUnite Comes over a bit racist, also not sure blue eyed white Europeans have a stated political goal of its Charter of the genocide of Israel … well not any more. If only Hamas would accept Israel as state then they could all live in peace.
@terrychristian You want Starmer to fix EU? It is a right wing, protectionists conglomerate imposing itself on poorer nations and telling them how to run their countries. Sounds like Trump actually
