@golittlemomgo@GrandpaHarris65 they WILL OWN everything while we "poors" will have to rent or lease everything we have. rent homes, rent software, rent tv, rent furniture, etc.
maga SHOULD be able to "see" it but they absolutely will not. especially with grok saying everything they are doing is on the up & up when it certainly IS NOT.
@HunterBiden@retirenow59 Don Jr. is heavily invested in two drone manufacturers, both of which are competing for DoD and Saudi contracts worth billions. The intertwining of Trump family businesses with the federal government and foreign policy is so obvious that even cavemen/MAGA idiots can see it.
Legitimate????? 😁😆😅😂🤣If their businesses are so legitimate, why does Demented Donnie want Congress to pass a bill giving him, his nepo kids and all their businesses immunity from tax audits by the IRS? Legitimate business owners don't need immunity. Ask your accountant.
Yes I sold paintings. About $225,000 a year over four years. The whole of my business while my father was President. Congress investigated it.
If you’re outraged about that, where is all your outrage now?
Kushner's Affinity Partners holds roughly $5 to $6 billion. Close to 99% of it comes from foreign sovereign wealth funds. Saudi Arabia. The UAE. Qatar. Over $90M in fees annually.
@bonnie56264@rob0349@KJM_withaview and now he wants to LEAVE THE RING UP ON THE LAWN just like france left the eiffel tower up after the worlds fair. he wants TO LEAVE THE RING .
The United States is the only country among all 38 wealthy OECD democracies with no nationwide requirement for any of the following: automatic voter registration, paid time off to vote, election scheduling on a weekend or public holiday, early in-person voting, standardized poll hours, or widely available mail voting.
Not one. Zero out of six. Alone among our peers.
Two-thirds of OECD countries schedule elections on a weekend or public holiday. The US holds elections on a Tuesday - one of only five OECD countries to do so by law. Of the other four, three provide paid leave for voting. We do not.
Eighty-two percent of OECD countries automatically register citizens using existing government records. We do it in roughly half of states, through opt-in systems at the DMV. The other half have done nothing.
The consequences are measurable. Among OECD countries that have adopted at least two pro-voting policies, average turnout in parliamentary elections is 82 percent. Among countries with one or no such policies, it's 68 percent.
The worker at a distribution center in Shelbyville who can't leave her shift on a Tuesday afternoon isn't failing democracy. Democracy is failing her. The system that requires her to choose between her paycheck and her ballot is not a neutral design. It is a choice. Thirty-three other wealthy democracies made a different one.
And now the SAVE America Act, the mail voting executive order, and the threat of armed federal agents at polls are all pushing in the same direction - making it harder, not easier, for the people with the least flexibility to participate in the only act of governance that is specifically theirs.
@thejackhopkins This man defended Trump in criminal court, lost, then got rewarded with the AG’s office and used it to buy his boss permanent immunity. That’s not law — that’s organized crime with a government seal. Disbar Blanche. Then investigate every page he signed.
@LeelaJGray Trump could have just ended data collection and maintenance, if he really considered it just to be wasted money. Instead, he is spending money to destroy the hardware. He is actively destroying the eyes and ears of mankind.
@LeelaJGray Your doctor sees you, but no longer has a thermometer, blood pressure set, stethoscope or EKG machine. He tells you the new management took them away. That's where we are with the pseudo-NSF's management of the atmospheric and oceanic monitoring equipment that helps save lives.
You can't solve problems you refuse to measure.
Yet this month, 900 ocean monitoring instruments are being physically pulled out of the water. A $368 million system. A decade to build. Designed to run 15 more years.
Gone.
This network tracked hurricane intensity, coastal flooding, marine heatwaves, and sea level rise. The data was free, public and used in over 500 scientific publications. Congress tried to stop it... twice. They got overruled anyway.
For a coastal community like FL-13 that just lived through Helene, this isn't abstract. This is the difference between an evacuation order that comes in time and one that doesn't.
Florida deserves a representative who fights for the science that protects us, not one who looks the other way while it gets dismantled.

My tax person has a second job at a Walmart even though she has a Masters in Accounting. She had to get a second job to survive after she lost her healthcare premiums went up $846 a month. She said what you get paid at Walmart is a joke for the work you do.
As Lebanese, we don't want your condemnations. We've seen what your condemnations have done to Gaza.
Condemnations won't stop Israel from killing our people and occupying our land. If you really wanted to deter Israel, you would just stop supplying Israel with weapons and impose sanctions on Israel. It is that simple. Did you do that for Gaza? The answer is no!
No politician who publicly condemns Israel to win your votes—while simultaneously supporting it in secret to secure its funding—is going to protect your rights. If they're able to watch Israel committing two genocide in Gaza and Lebanon, killing tens of thousands of people, and still defend Israel because it polls well or pays well, they'll betray you too when the price is right.
