While I disagree with many of the absurd Houston inclusions and exclusions on Michelin’s Texas list, I applaud it for being the catalyst for the fussy, territorial, overwrought bitterness of Alison Cook’s “sharpened…claws” lament in the Chronicle that was the most amusing Houston food writing I have read since the late, great Ken Hoffman wrote about how awful it was to dine with her back in 2019 for Culture Map. The fact that she paused from her “pick me” and “I saw it first” energies to crap on beautiful local establishments like Candente only reaffirms my belief she is as awful as her reputation, restaurant reviews and Twitter fingers suggest.
@alisoncook@HoustonChron Pretty terrible for you to take cheap shots at Candente instead of celebrating their success. Fortunately Michelin doesn’t share your opinion.
The 52-bus exhibition is named the NRA Children's Museum. Ted Cruz's Texas home is the first stop on the tour by @ChangeTheRef, an organization founded by the parents of Joaquin Oliver. Joaquin died in the 2018 Parkland shooting.

REPOST: While we're watching Gabby Petito’s case unfold, please take five seconds to read about Daniel Robinson, a geologist who went missing in the desert outside Buckeye three months ago. His father is still looking for him. #BrianLaundrie#gabbypetitio

@TheKitchenista@GADeptofRevenue@dariuscooks Sales tax! So he charged his customers tax and didn’t pay it?!?! My friend worked for a company who withheld payroll taxes but never filed or paid the IRS. It took about 3 years, but the owners went to prison.
