@Corey_067@Heccles94 It may well happen but it doesn’t mean that men should be accessing female only spaces.
TW are male/men. Meaning they shouldn’t be using female spaces. The law has clarified this point. Why people refuse to accept it is bewildering.
It’s not bigotry to state facts.
@Corey_067@Heccles94 This is such a weak pathetic argument.
And not a point to allow men to access female only spaces.
Just accept the facts and stop with the lies and BS.
@Jacqkelly So men.
Hence ensuring female only spaces are known to be for only females.
Some trans people are men/male. Men are the risk factor, not all of them but enough that sex was identified as needing to be a protected characteristic. For privacy, dignity and safety.
@stellacreasy Please answer the questions about the code that you are saying is incorrect.
Please address what is “not right” with it.
Please confirm if you propose to seek to change the law and what your solution would be to ensure the sex based rights of women are protected.
@stellacreasy Perhaps you’d be best placed to focus on the posts asking for clarity on what exactly you think is “not right” with the code, how you propose blocking it will impact the law that it reflects and how you propose to protect the sex based rights of women?
@RonniNicole1 When are men going to be looked?
When is this going to be addressed? Why are women still subjected to such high rates of MVAWG, so common it barely makes headlines?
It should be less “women take precautions”, & needs to be more “men fucking well stop it”.
@stellacreasy@Jebadoo2@akuareindorf@EHRC Which part of the code do you disagree with, Stella?
Is it the inclusion of practical measures that reflect sex in order to protect the sex-based rights of women & girls, such as privacy, dignity, safety, & fairness?
Or do you not think those protections are necessary?
The proposed EHRC Code of Practice is unfit for purpose and places trans people at serious risk of violence and discrimination.
It is vital that guidance protects the rights of all people to live their lives with peace, privacy, and dignity.
@EllieChowns Calling EHRC Code “unfit” ignores it’s based on the EA, which balances rights for all groups inc trans ppl & protections for women & girls in SSS
If you think it’s wrong, what change would you make to law that protects everyone’s rights in practice? Disagreement isn’t a solution
The Green Party is calling on the Prime Minister and Bridget Phillipson to reject the cruel and confusing EHRC Code of Practice.
Legislative action must be taken to create an equalities framework that protects trans people’s safety, dignity and humanity.
@SamanthaNiblet4@amnesty It is shameful that you are willing to compromise the rights and safety of women and girls in order to present your posturing, virtue-signalling lies as progressive and kind.
