@soggypants21 It makes me very sad that deeply rooted biblical mistranslations have led to this stereotype (deserved or not) but, as a Christian, I am glad to see movement in the right direction. People are people. Love is love. God called us to love each other and that’s just the bottom line.
@soggypants21 The First United Methodist Church is currently undergoing a huge split over this very topic. Many former FUMC churches have recently decided to separate from the FUMC denomination in order to accept all people freely without consequence from the church government.

paying closer attention to all of the ways i unintentionally taught people how to treat me. by always being available for them. putting their problems before my own. sacrificing every bit of my personal time to help them or keep them company. ignoring my body for their comfort.
