PhD on insulin receptor signaling/endocytosis; postdoc on multi-omics/modeling of hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance @JimJohnsonSci lab, @ubclifesciences
Delineating muscle #insulin signalling in different mouse strains on various diets highlights the utility of studying biological diversity with phosphoproteomics to discover key regulatory mechanisms of complex traits @eLife@davidjamesoz https://t.co/diFZ25tJKf
It's great to know that my first paper (https://t.co/M3SWAlisbr) in @JimJohnsonSci lab got lots of downloads! Or did I download it too many times myself 😂 #TopDownloadedArticle
I'm excited to share our new paper entitled “Human and mouse muscle transcriptomic analyses identify insulin receptor mRNA downregulation in hyperinsulinemia-associated insulin resistance” published on @FASEBorg~ https://t.co/Bw1eafVQO7. A brief summary is below.
Pls RT! There is still time to apply to these faculty positions at the @ubclifesciences , current home to 85 labs. See website for a non exhaustive list of gaps we’d like to fill in our collective expertise. https://t.co/enJP8aCRKP
Happy to see the 1st product from our wonderful collaboration with the Rideout Lab out in peer-reviewed form. To my knowledge, this is the most comprehensive analysis of the differences between female and male beta cells, which are quite striking. Female cells are more resilient.
Since Lindholm et al 8yr ago RNAseq - applied to human muscle - has produced erroneous data & incorrect claims of superior performance
After great efforts by @tjstokes5@HowardCen and colleagues we explain some of the why's #MyoTwitter#Transcriptomics

2022 Research Trainee Dr. Cen’s research is investigating whether reducing insulin can prevent detrimental effects of high sucrose & identify underlying causes of #obesity & #diabetes. Meet all our 2022 Trainees: https://t.co/mjx5z95aYG
Excited and proud to be presenting my work at #EASD2022. I’ll be presenting my work on the targeting of Na+ channels for beta-cell protection and insulin secretion in diabetes. A big thank you to the organizer and @JimJohnsonSci for giving me this opportunity.
So excited and honored to get the opportunity to present my study at #EASD2022, @EASDnews. Welcome to attend all @JimJohnsonSci lab's talks and my talk "Insulin receptors in pancreatic acinar cells contribute to pancreatic cancer development" is on Wed, Sep 21, SO76, 1:15-2:15pm.
