@Dr_Aust_PhD Increasing med student numbers may be relatively โcheapโ as far as Universities are concerned but the pinch point is the available local capacity for the clinical placements necessary for them to graduate.
@Stephen_Curry Concur about the Erdinger! Defo one of the more acceptable low alcohols available! Best of the low alcohol lagers (imho) is the FreeDamm cerveza.
The 2022 Annual UK GSN Meeting will take place online on Friday 14th January. This event will be hosted by vFairs and all costs associated with the event will be covered by the UK GSN, so it will be free to register and attend. 1/3.
@Dr_Aust_PhD Excellent, might need to make sure this is one of the many variants of this model our year 1 med students come across when the Iceberg of disease model gets triggered in PBL.
@Dr_Aust_PhD Seem to recall a Not the Nine Oโclock News sketch with the Unions deciding on coffee or tea. 4/5 tea lost to 1/5 coffee on the basis of union membership!
@Dr_Aust_PhD Situations where 2M social distancing is not possible such as a full lecture theatre, then masks are mandatory. Doesnโt seem to be a problem for the medics as masks are mandatory in the hospitals anyway. This may be a Med School thing rather than University policy though!
@Dr_Aust_PhD We had a letter on our lab door, supposedly from the Tsien lab where slots for one to one meetings with research staff, from 7.00am on a Staturday onwards were offered. Also asking why lab lights turned off at 11.00pm on some weekends #youdontknowhowluckyyouare!
