Two charts. One story: Schools with strong Greek Life + Campus Culture consistently outdraw everyone else at the stadium.
@UHouston sits near the bottom on both. That’s not a coincidence, it’s a roadmap our President refuses to address.
Nobody asked but this would be my solution to Social Security since it’s in the news.
1. Everyone over 62.5: No change. They keep Social Security as is.
2. Those already paying in (mid-career and younger): Credit people for what they've already contributed. For example, if a 40-year-old has put $300k into Social Security over their working years, they receive payouts equal to that $300k once they reach minimum retirement age. The same applies to a 20-year-old who has put in $50k. Past contributions should be easy to verify from tax returns. This way, people don't get shortchanged when they retire.
3. Going forward, people choose one of two options:
- Option 1: Full free market. No government retirement plan at all. (Libs will never go for this)
- Option 2: A personal account. Money is still taken from each paycheck, as with Social Security, but it's tied to your name and invested in a total market index fund or S&P 500 fund. You can't touch it until age 62.5.
Il est incroyable que ces Américains ayant grandi entre une station service Texaco et un Burger King aient plus conscience de leurs racines que les Européens qui vivent au milieu des Abbayes, des Chateaux, des Amphithéatres romains etc
@themidhambino I have the optifade timber on my Momarsh Dog Blind, and Tangle Free Pannel Blinds, and they look great brushed up, but imho looks weird on gear.
I’m sure Andy is a great guy, but as a UH alum, he’s using our Dana Holgorsen era as an excuse to not show up for games today.
We have to acknowledge the students brought on campus as well as the college community Renu Khator has built does not translate into producing lifelong fans or donors (both academic and athletic).
