@akashmuni27@winterwhen@ash_twtz Technically it trilaterates, rather than triangulates.
So many people think the satellite knows where they are but there's no more of a need for that than for a lighthouse to know where the ships are - it's the ships that are navigating, not the lighthouse!
@afreshify@TRobinsonNewEra Not trespass as public space. Abusive& threatening depends on context - remember it's one woman and several men. Vandalism - defacing public property or damage to ladders?
@RealGeneKelly@TRobinsonNewEra Public lamposts. People can do what they want on their own property but when it's public space it's a bit more complicated. One group want to show their beliefs through sticking up flags; another think that some are using it to intimidate and stir up conflict...
@P95George@EssexPR Flag worship is a very unbritish thing that's being imported, and I don't like it. I remember driving around NI in the 1980's and the different flags marking out territories made it feel much less safe.
@eloise_anne_@bbcquestiontime That's why you don't simply ban phones on school - students need support and for good behaviours to be modelled. You need clear rules. I am a teacher and if a student wants to take a photo of the board and asks permission to get a phone out, that is a good use of technology.
@RedDave1155371@BGatesIsaPyscho@WMPolice No, The police officer is simply seeking to enforce, politely, an exclusion zone that has been put in place to protect vulnerable members of the public from intimidation. Making personal comments about that police officer is entirely irrelevant.
@Chrimms2@BobFromAccounts What - looking after stuff is Marxist, is it? Paying to reinforce pavement, paid for by the taxpayer, so it continues to look good and isn't a hazard to the old/infirm) is entirely reasonable in my opinion. If I don't like the idea of collective provision, build your own roads...
@anon_opin Front fog lights shine down towards the road as main beams simply light up the water vapour and make it harder to see. Rear fog lights are to make the car visible to following cars but can be distracting and hence counter-productive when over/misused.
@New_Wesphalian@LouHaigh Are you suggesting that non-EV drivers are being forced to subsidise EV drivers? Wouldn't the industry simply be charging EV drivers higher premiums if that was the case?
