Backing Schlitter in this one. He’s gone 6+ innings in 8/13 starts this season including 7/L9 and 4/L5. Pitched an 8 inning gem vs the Red Sox earlier this year allowing just 4 hits. He also pitched eight scoreless innings with 12 strikeouts vs Boston in the AL wild card series in 2025.

The Red Sox are batting just (.239) vs RHP this year. They have 5 bats in the lineup with sub (.250) BAs vs RHP and they are also a low walk rate lineup. Over the L15 they hold the 5th lowest BB% vs RHP. Cam also doesn’t walk batters (98th percentile BB%).

The Red Sox hold the 2nd LOWEST P/PA in the league (3.78 per) which played out in their first matchup with Cam racking up a bunch of quick contact outs. Expecting much of the same in this one.

Overall a solid spot. Not going to overthink it. This is the same Boston lineup that allowed Shane Baz (7 IP) and Tanner Bibbee (6 IP) both cover this line recently. Cam has better metrics than both of those arms. He has performed well against his hometown team and we like him to do it once again here!
