This happens to me. There are several types of vertigo. The one I get is Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) where tiny calcium crystals in your inner ear get loose and float into the wrong part of the ear.

I use the Epley maneuver which uses a series of precise head movements to guide these crystals back to where they belong. It works for me every time. @grok please explain the Epley maneuver.
