This vital work has been coordinated by my brilliant colleague, @rm_sheehan.
Like the apostles in Acts 6 she has established a powerful cohort, expressing Christ's diaconal love.

In Wigan, the council, churches, charities, businesses, families, natural leaders in the poorest neighbourhoods, are keeping our town fed. A deliberate strategy of renewed relationships and local pride, away from hopeless passivity. Good to see churches in Burnley doing likewise.
We hope to welcome everyone back once again in future years. It’s always lovely to have the cafe full of school children and many others from our local community for refreshments after the wreath laying.
Wreath laying in Newtown had to be much smaller than usual but still so very poignant. Glad to share the moment to pause and reflect with @CllrDraper
Harry Melling is known and loved by many at St Mark's. He turns 100 on 18th April. We are sending him a card from church - but let's also send him as many cards as possible to Alexandra Grange, 8 Howard Street, Pemberton, Wigan WN5 8BD.
