@AllenCaps1995 Sort of reminds me of the Knicks before the szn. Either need everything to fall into place or the add of a star / development into one. Not a perfect comp and “things falling into place” is much more likely to happen in the NBA but point is we’re so close yet so far
@ajflax I get the read there isn’t a huge difference between ceiling and floor with him. Looks to be decent at everything with fine physical tools but has MLB elite level discipline
@jowole1216 I believe we have a very good lineup, but for this offense to sustain #1 in the league for a whole season would be a talent outlier I’ve never seen
@jowole1216 The whole point is that it’s not sustainable. Abrams having a great season but we have enough info to believe he’s not sustaining this, along with having 2 more average guys in the top 5. Are we really expecting 3 bats to carry an otherwise uninspiring lineup the whole szn?
@jowole1216 It’s just not an elite 1-5, 1 superstar, a very good guy overperforming his metrics in the first great year of his career, mead I like a lot, luis just an average guy who doesn’t walk, lile a guy having an average season a year after having an unsustainable amount of triples
@jowole1216 We have a very good lineup, but expecting a very good but probably not elite 1-5 and a league worst 6-9 to remain the best offense in the league is disingenuous
@jowole1216 That’s a good not elite top 5. Then you get to a horrible bottom of the lineup, nasim/vivas are league worst hitters, JY much improved but still solidly below average, ruiz on a hot streak which is nice, crews complete liability until he improves LA or starts to walk
@JB__Hockey@FriedgeHNIC Ehh it’s probably more that they just realize that sakic is an ever better gm and letting macpharland go where he wants. You can’t really be a bad gm when you have the best roster in the NHL even if a lot of it is from the prior gm lol
