@academic_la This war is done. Israel will "reluctantly" agree to a phased withdrawl in exchange for guns and money from the US. They'll find reasons to delay withdrawl and test US/Iran patience. In 2-5 yrs they'll provoke an attack big enough to justify going in to "finish the job".
@AlanEyre1 It means how to actually get the money into their control given they aren't connected to the financial system. Hence pallets of cash with Obama.
@cblatts In my graduation class, the ones who didn't get the traditional econ jobs were the lucky ones. The jobs they did get proved more lucrative and arguably more engagin/interesting.
@alexandrosM That is very cool. I have this hanging also. Almost as much as the visuals I just like the little historical tidbits. A snapshot in time of what historians thought based on the biases at the time, to distinguish between history with the biases of our time.
Last night, Israeli settlers set the historic Palestinian Christian village of Taybeh ablaze in an arson attack. When I traveled to the West Bank last year, I met with Taybeh residents advocating for dignity and security. Israeli authorities are failing to hold extremist settlers accountable for this rampant violence.
@ryangerritsen a recession is a broad based decline in economic activity and died not depend on gdp alone. that silly 2q business is for midwits that never got past econ 101 (think Max Fawcett).
