my wizard tower is just absolutely full of these little guys. i gave them all low level sentience (enough to listen to simple commands but not enough to feel the burden of mortality). they all call me “boss” and sound like henchmen in a batman game
Gordon Wood wrote the lead essay for "Democracy and the American Revolution," the first volume in @AEI's "America at 250" series. I had to pick my jaw up off the ground the first time I read how he summed up the democratic force the Revolution unleashed:
My favorite under-the-radar spot here is Mammoth Site in Hot Springs SD, where they found a bunch of mammoth bones preserved in an old water pit, and built the museum around the pit rather than move the bones.
i think a solution to the historical accuracy problem for the odyssey would be to set it in the 1930s in the south and change their outfits to something like prison uniforms, and maybe cast someone like george clooney instead of matt damon
