The end of week 1 of the 'Tour de Barnsley'. Our patients have cycled 291m! Some fabulous moments seeing the smiles on their faces, the competitiveness & one patient with Alzheimer's reminiscing about her cycling days, she even talked us through her old route street by street!

In CDU the team are running Volunteer Led Activites to promote reconditioning as part of #GiveitaGoWeek2023 @HughesLiz @RothBarnsNHSCEO @barnshospital

We have also been to CDU where we spoke with Hannah and Liz for a number of projects including 'I Can Boards', #GiveitaGoWeek2023 @HughesLiz @hannah_standage @RothBarnsNHSCEO @barnshospital

And they're off! The first patient to start the 'Tour de Barnsley' cycling challenge, completing 30 metres to help the patients reach their target!

We’ve collected our total number of sit-stands for World Parkinson’s Day and I’m delighted to tell you all that at Barnsley hospital we achieved an amazing 2630 sit- stands! (Age range from 2-96!!)
The global effort was 938,223, which smashed last years total of 668,234 #uctt
