Bayern Munich has completed only four signings of more than โฌ55 million in its entire history.
- Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur (โฌ95m, 2023 and a key figure in the current squad)
- Lucas Hernรกndez from Atlรฉtico Madrid (โฌ80m, 2019)
- Luis Dรญaz from Liverpool (โฌ67.5m, 2025 and a central part of the squad)
- Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus (โฌ67m, 2022)
Several Premier League clubs have pursued more aggressive spending in recent windows. Liverpool signed four players costing over โฌ50m each in the 2025 summer transfer period alone. Arsenal also completed four such deals in the same year, while Chelsea has recorded four โฌ50m+ signings across the last two years combined.
Yet despite this comparatively restrained approach to big transfers, Bayern Munich has maintained an elite position in European football ranking among the top five in UEFA's club coefficient rankings (based solely on Champions League performance) for 15 consecutive seasons, dating back to the 2010/11 season.
According to the latest Deloitte Football Money League, Bayern Munich generated the third highest revenue in the world... more than every Premier League club. Bayern Munich also maintain one of the lowest wage-to-revenue ratios among top European teams.
I laugh to myself when wannabe "journalists" and reactionary fans say Bayern Munich were "rejected"... Bayern possesses both the financial ability and the willingness to spend when the opportunity arises.
However, the club's leadership has consistently prioritized transfers that align with specific criteria which is the right player, at the right moment, at a justifiable cost, and with a clear fit for both immediate needs and long-term strategy. If that criteria isn't met, they monitor the situation to see if they can move later.
Over the last 10 years, Bayern Munich has spent less than the following clubs: Chelsea, Manchester City, Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and AC Milan. In some cases, many of these clubs have spent 2x or 3x more than Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich's sustained success for over a decade is no accident. It stems from a methidical, deliberate and structured approach which has allowed Bayern to move in an increasingly inflated transfer market while preserving both competitive success and financial sanity.
Even the haters of Bayern Munich have to admit it's impressive. #MiaSanMia

@Rallmoneyyyyyy@BossWard43 Do some research he threw 1 INT the whole postseason. So that means No Fly Zone never had to bail him out with 4 INT in a game. Not saying Texans are even close to that level but stop lying
