Today we officially launched our Hull Labour Local Election campaign with popular northern Mayor Ros Jones joining the launch!
While today marks the launch, our Labour candidates have already been working hard in communities across Hull and they’ll do even more if elected. 1/4

Labour councillors, working with local Labour MPs and a Labour government, are the strongest way to secure the investment Hull needs and build a better future for our city. 3/4
ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO.
Paula Vennells has rightly returned her Gong, Ed Davy should do the same.
Perhaps the Lib Dem Leader who has called on 31 other people to resign should take his own advice, having ignored the pleas of our Post Office staff over the horizon scandal.
🚨Hull Lib Dems vote against a full public vote on this Mayoral devolution deal.
We know why, it’s because they know the public don’t want another very expensive unelected layer of bureaucracy.
During Cllr Ross’ speech, he didn’t mention that this devolution deal would include an elected Mayor for Hull and East Riding… We know why, another layer of bureaucracy is deeply unpopular in our city.

Fantastic news to see the ground breaking on the Veterans' Village in West Hull/Cottingham today. Congratulations to our good friend Paul Matson BEM. We are proud of all those involved from Hull 4 Heroes, & the forces community. You know you have our support!
At the last full council, Cllr Raspin proposed a motion to reintroduce School Uniform Grants to those in desperate need of support.
Whilst we welcome the announcement that the council have finally decided to provide some support for families, we know this doesn’t go far enough.
The new £40 grant to families of Year 7 students on free school meals, could have been in place for the summer holidays, when parents are buying uniforms, but again, this administration failed to act in time but by standing firm Labour have forced them to act on this issue.
Congratulations to Sharon Hofman the newly elected Councillor for Bricknell Ward!
She fought a really positive campaign and it paid off!
Huge thanks to the residents in Bricknell ward for putting your faith in Labour again.
Any local problem affecting you, will also affect her and her family as Bricknell residents, so you can trust Sharon to lead the fight for both a better Bricknell, and better Hull.
