Yesterday, HUDA held the County Engagement Forum at Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Hotel with all 9 pillars. Discussions focused on progress, gaps, and strategies to address VE in Kwale under USAID-Sauti, supported by @USAIDKenya. Together, we’re building a resilient future.
HUDA launched the @USAIDKenya -funded project at Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort, bringing stakeholders together in preventing violent extremism in Kwale. Thanks to Gov't officials, community influencers for insights, feedback & commitments towards a peaceful Kwale.
The Kwale County Action Plan on PCVE is organised into 5 priority pillars namely;
Law enforcement, Education, Psychosocial, Ideological and Media. HUDA and the office of the County Police Commandant are co-chairing the Law enforcement pillar.
Through our Peaceful and Sustainable Transition to Livelihood Empowerment (PESTLE) project, we were pleased today to facilitate the capacity building training for the members of the Kwale County Action Plan (CAP), under the Law Enforcement pillar.

We have been able to address some of the issues that were facing people especially women, PWDs and youth in accessing the COVID-19 vaccine. Through this there has been an increase in the number of people that have received vaccination in Kwale County in 2022.@EUinKenya@akdn
