Interesting use of the term “counselling”. Will pharmacists train as counsellors in order to do this?
Or has counselling become synonymous with telling people what they should do?
Planning post Covid provision of #psychologicaltherapy. Opportunity to do things differently to meet the needs of the diverse communities we serve. If you were to have NHS #talkingtherapy where would you want to have it? In a cMHT base? Community settings? Therapy centre?

Am carrying out a Heuristic Inquiry which sits on the more fringe edge of qualitative.
The tool we choose to gather data is key. A likert scale assumes an answer.
How can we discover something new if we set boundaries within our method?
I’m not against going to a yoga class, journaling, mindful breathing or going for a walk. In fact, I like them.
However, I don’t think they should be offered in place of therapy or crisis care, simply because there is no therapy or crisis care available.
@amrschar@TheTherapistDoc@MichaelFulwiler My friend in the UK counsels for grief. He said the last year has been awful. He can’t express empathy over video. But yes it’s better than nothing.
@Vincenz59109253 @MajaStruthers I haven’t enjoyed having my own therapy from my own house (online). In fact the last two sessions I went and sat in my car for it 😂

I’m not sure I feel the same... there is something about the raw, visceral, embodied presence when working face to face... something in the inbetween that is missing in VCF...
