Everyone good?
We know things are tough out there right now.
Indie games have never been an easy place to make a living, but lately it feels as though there is even more pressure. Developers trying to finish games, studios worrying about what comes next, artists and composers looking for work, publishers making difficult decisions, marketing teams trying to get games seen, and plenty of people quietly wondering whether all the effort is going to pay off.
So, with the weekend nearly here, this is simply a message from us at IGD to say: look after yourselves.
Switch off for a bit if you can. Step away from the build. Stop refreshing the numbers. Leave the emails until Monday. Play a game because you want to play it. Spend some time with the people who matter to you, get outside, have a lie-in, watch something rubbish, or do absolutely nothing productive.
Whatever you didn't manage to finish this week will still be there.
IGD has been around indie games for a long time, and one thing that has never changed is that behind every game, studio, project, trailer, press release and social post is a person.
Sometimes things go brilliantly. Sometimes a game doesn't find the audience it deserves. Sometimes opportunities disappear, projects stall, money gets tight or you simply have a bad week.
You don't have to pretend every week has been a good one.
We're all part of the same corner of the games industry, so let's keep looking out for one another.
Have a good weekend when it gets here. We're going to play some of the Indie Games we've bought and added to our library and get back to it fresh on Monday.
It’s #WishlistWednesday! 💙

If there are any film or game studios with a roster of actors are interested in working together. Please reach out.
I would be delighted just to even talk about it.
Thanks everyone,
Stay blessed.
Unfortunately, due to the scope of the game's needs, my psych fmv job sim will remain a prototype until further notice.
I have 2 writers, a developer, a graphic artist and several VA, but it's not enough for what this needs long term.

A new prototype has dropped!
While testing out ideas for my next big game, I've been making some small concepts to see if there's interest worth focusing on.
Have a look, absolutely give it a play below!

I'm looking for feedback on my next new project!
If you like:
- short replayable games
- point and click adventure games
- speed running/games under pressure
Check the 2nd tweet for a link to the game & feedback form. Literally anything helps!
Against my better judgement, I entered into Jamsepticeye game jam and tried to put something together in Unreal Engine.
And let me tell you -
It sure is playable!
Downloadable and playable below!

It's long overdue but an actual website is live now!
If you dont know what kind of an operation this is by now - feel free to poke around and find out!

Well, it didn't clear that mark. But for a first attempt at a game jam, I'm happy with how it all came up. (that 59th for story though)
Final version with bug fixes and now indicators to tell you what's wrong!
Screw it.
If Social Bonds gets a 4/5 rating average or above from the game jam ratings/reviews/judging whatever. I'll make a full version with like 20+ levels that sells for a couple bucks.
We've been busy here working on a couple of new ideas for games. But not busy enough to keep making games!
Social Bonds - our submission for the https://t.co/DJ9TJct1xb gamejam is submitted and
Live. You can play it for free in the tweet below!
🎬 I SAW BLACK CLOUDS – From game to screen.
The film adaptation of our interactive psychological thriller "I Saw Black Clouds" is now reaching new audiences. Exploring grief, guilt, and the consequences of choice.

Starting to believe that storyboarding is one of the hardest parts of this game design stuff....
At least we're off to a good start for the next upcoming game!
