“Ordinary residents” might possess correct documents but their “true Indianness” will always be suspect.
While extraordinary citizens are Indians who have ticked every box not just in documentary sense but also socially, politically & ideologically.

"If I am an Indian, how did my sister become Bangladeshi?"
In June, two Bengali migrant families living in New Delhi were detained and deported to Bangladesh, even after producing ID proofs. Among them is an 8-month pregnant mother who was forced to leave behind a four-year-old daughter.
The West Bengal government has confirmed that they are Indian citizens and has supported the legal battle to bring them back.
@shaheenjournal reports
“The police called me a Bangladeshi..” said a local from Tigra who was almost detained.

In this unbearable summer heat, Jai Hind Camp still has no electricity. Families & children are suffering without cool water.
We’re raising funds to buy 4 water dispensers to help the community survive this heatwave
