The Police and Crime Panel (PCP) for the Humberside Police force area has been set up to scrutinise, support and challenge the Police and Crime Commissioner.
At the Panel’s Annual Meeting held on 8 July, Cllr John Davison (@NorthLincsCNews was elected as Chair & Cllr Kevin Shutt (@NELCouncil) was elected Vice-Chair. A vote thanks was passed to former Chair Mrs S Whittaker MBE for her service to the Panel
On behalf of our residents, we ensure that Humberside Police works well and meets the needs of its communities.

Today saw the count for the position of Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner. The result was as follows -
Jonathan Evison (Con) - 79,534
Keith Hunter (Lab) - 71,615
Turnout - 22.92%
Consequently, Jonathan Evison has been duly elected
Attending today’s meeting was @CCLeeFreeman, who delivered a presentation on the organisation of the Force; staff survey results; latest crime statistics; Covid stats; performance of the Force & support for victims. Panel congratulated the whole Force for its transformation
On 4 February, following a comprehensive verbal presentation from @Keithhunter50, the Panel unanimously agreed to approve the @HumbersidePCC Police precept for 2021-22. The precept will see an increase of £14.99 for a Band D property

Remember, as of today, calling the police non-emergency 101 number is FREE. The previous 15p flat charge was levied by the networks to carry the call, not by the police or Government. We are delighted this has happened, it is something we have wanted for a long time.
