Enjoyed cinematographer Sir Roger Deakins on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs. Never knew that the young lady famously photographed by Kurt Hutton on the merry-go-round at Southend’s Kursaal Amusement Park in 1938 was Deakins’ mother, Josephine. @BBCRadio4#desertislanddiscs
