Anticipatory action saves lives.
Thanks to the support of UN-CERF, WFP is providing cash assistance to drought-affected households in Afar, helping them meet their immediate needs.
Mothers like Hasna can purchase essential items for their children and support their families.
Every woman & girl has the right to feel safe everywhere.
Governments must invest in preventing gender-based violence, enforce laws, and end impunity. #NoExcuse
What does refugee inclusion look like?
It starts with listening, empathy and making sure refugee voices are represented even when they’re not in the room.
Chantal form @RefugeesRwanda shows why inclusion starts with all of us.

📍Nepal: @WFP deployed an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) to deliver critical assistance to families cut off by floods.
Helicopters airlifted food as far as possible, then the UAS completed the delivery in minutes.
This is what innovation in humanitarian logistics looks like.
🇯🇵🤝🇿🇼 Today, @WFP received US$1.3M from the Govt & people of Japan to support refugees & asylum seekers at Tongogara Refugee Settlement.

When disaster strikes in Colombia, WCK doesn't show up alone. For years, Fundación Gastronomía Social has been our partner on the ground—from wildfire responses in Chile to the winter emergency in Córdoba and today's earthquake response across multiple departments of Colombia. Together, we do what we both do best: get hot meals to the people who need them most. "I think people don't fully grasp the power that lies behind handing someone this plate of food when they are in a situation so difficult and full of need." - Cristina Botero, FGS Colombia Director We both know a hot meal is more than food. #ChefsForColombia
#ChefsForColombia

On the island of Rota, consistent access to food has been a challenge since Super Typhoon Sinlaku struck earlier this year—and Super Typhoon Bavi, which hit earlier this month, has compounded that hardship. As recovery gets underway, WCK teams are listening closely to what communities are asking for. Often, that means ingredients. Our local teams have distributed ingredient kits with 22 days worth of food that include staples like rice, noodles, and soy sauce so that families can cook the meals they love. #ChefsForRota
📌Forecasts guide the way, so communities can face another day.
WFP has triggered South Sudan’s first-ever drought Anticipatory Action Plan, shielding more than 65,000 people from severe, climate-induced food insecurity.
Thanks to the support from #KOICA and @GermanyDiplo
🇨🇩 No family should face Ebola and hunger at the same time.
@WFP has delivered 96,000+ hot meals and food assistance to 23,000 people in eastern DRC.
But without funding, this response is at risk. To keep this lifesaving support going, @WFP urgently needs US$75.5M.
Act now.
The latest #SOFI2026 report shows global hunger declined for a third consecutive year — proof that progress is possible.
⚠️But conflict, weather extremes, and reductions in humanitarian and development funding threaten to undermine progress.
Ending hunger requires sustained, coordinated action.

We are deeply honored to welcome His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to WFP Headquarters in Rome.
His message speaks to the heart of WFP’s mission and acts as a powerful reminder of why the fight against hunger matters. 💙
🚨 #Haiti: Fragile gains against hunger could be reversed as food and transport costs rise, driven by the conflict in the Middle East.
An updated analysis indicates that over half the population is facing crisis levels or worse of food insecurity.
The words of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, @Pontifex, speak to a truth WFP sees every day: Hunger reaches far beyond the plate — affecting peace, opportunity and the strength of communities.
That is why the fight against hunger is a responsibility we all share.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s generous support for food banks highlights the urgent fight against hunger at home and abroad — and shows how individual action, advocacy and charitable giving https://t.co/NbcQJVGSJm
