Our government must introduce measures to tackle the rapidly rising levels of poverty, destitution and hunger we are seeing.

📣 Today, we’re sharing the grim news that the food banks in our network gave out 2.1 million food parcels to people facing hardship between April 2021 and March 2022.
830,000 of these were given to children.

New @TrussellTrust data out today shows the need for emergency food aid in the last year outstripping pre-pandemic levels
How many people need to hit this crisis point before the government gets serious about ensuring the social security system protects people from destitution?
