@ThePfef As much as it sucks to lose in semi's immediately. Hey you got the exact opposite of our three and a half hour semi's finals last year.
You did keep a top 16 streak at the Royal Rumble.
I wish I could have gone this year.
@HigherMTG@_ShaunaGilles_ For number 1, I definitely like that for 64+ person events.
Number 2, I dont know if you need to remove the free mulligan from player 1. You could just make it so that they dont draw on turn one like in every other competitive format.
@AttackOnCards@Jakob_Goodwin@ThePfef Correct.
If that's the case, why are you so against Jlow?
(If it were to be talked about for unban potential)
When you just said they are a conversation tool.
You can say, "I dont want to play against a deck with Jlow in it. Is it okay if you play a different list?"
@AttackOnCards@ThePfef I didn't say that it was a problem.
I just placed top 4 with a korvold list.
Im saying that the floor for a 5+ cmc commander is gonna be different from a 3- cmc commander.
Jlow makes it so that the floors are a little bit closer.
@AttackOnCards@ThePfef Im not saying that it doesn't help the cheaper commanders.
Im saying the more expensive commanders are already at a too large of a deficit. Jlow evens the playing field a little as it benefits them more.
@AttackOnCards@ThePfef I agree that things should be banned for unfun play patterns.
Nadu, dockside, balance, and Erayo are all good examples of this.
Jlow doesn't have that unfun play patterns.
You can remove/counter the commander, and now you've just 2 for 1 your opponent.
Fast commanders arent unfun
@AttackOnCards@ThePfef As someone who has multiple top 16 runs and multiple cedh event wins.
I can say that as an active member of the CEDH community that Jlow would be greatly welcomed because decks like korvold, atraxa, and 5+ cmc commanders were mostly pushed out of the format due to Jlow's banning.
@AttackOnCards@ThePfef Any 1 drop commander and any commander that has multiple pips in it with no generic mana.
There are hundreds of commanders that dont want it.
And again.
No one makes you put it in your deck.
It is entirely up to the deck builder.
@SkaterMonkey94@AttackOnCards@ThePfef So are you saying you should ignore an ever growing part of the edh community?
That seems pretty bigoted of you, does it not?
@AttackOnCards@ThePfef Mental had a 100% playrate in every list. It was a must include in a COMPETITIVE format to win
EDH is not inherently a competitive format, so comparing mental to Jlow isnt a good comparison as not every edh deck wants Jlow and you dont need Jlow to win as winning is the only goal
