@KnightOw7@JimmyLiaoMD Totally wrong. Block in the back means actually hitting his back. It's not about the players' relative positions, it's about the body part being pushed on. See Rule 12, Section 1.
@TheBoxingHeadsP@JimmyLiaoMD Knock off the AI Slop and read the actual rulebook. The rule in question (R12, sec1, not sec2 as AI got wrong) specifically says "except in close line play" which R3, sec6 defines as exactly where they were.
@TheBoxingHeadsP@JimmyLiaoMD Branch got walked over cause he wasn't paying attention. Clean for at least 2 reasons: a)JuJu hit him in the shoulder from the side, not the back from the back b) within 3yd of LOS it's legal even if he had hit him in the back.
As to the block being "unnecessary" ...cry more.
@TomJones163791 @DirtRoadPickup The driving factor of both entries and deportations is how many people *attempt* to enter. Which has nothing to do with the administration. Which is entirely the point. The differences in real-life ICE behavior was minimal, other than optics. Oh and they don't vote, duh.
@KLJ2141 @DirtRoadPickup Do they really defend anything he does or says? The important thing is they still apparently want to make him President, and then remove every impediment to Presidential power.
@TomJones163791 @DirtRoadPickup And to refocus on the main point which you totally ignored: when Trump was President, HIS administration released thousands of illegal immigrants into the interior. The border wasn't "closed" under Trump and "open" under Biden. Biden has deported many times the number Trump did.
@TomJones163791 @DirtRoadPickup Trump said HIMSELF that he killed it bc fixing the problem would help dems in the election. Laura Ingraham Town Hall on Fox News. Said it explicitly. But we already established you believe whatever you want even if he said the opposite...nobody thought Mexico would pay, right?
@TomJones163791@Klints89 @DirtRoadPickup "Nobody expected Mexico to pay for it."
Oh...ok...he said that a few hundred times but sure. Tell me again how you love Trump because he "tells it like it is."
@TomJones163791 @DirtRoadPickup I get that it's easier to just believe what you want. But Trump didn't keep the border crossers out. Many were allowed into the interior for the same reason they are now: lack of resources. Congress had a bipartisan bill to fix that...but Trump wants the issue, not a solution.
@RayceRJacobson @DirtRoadPickup @Lieboisout Literally 3 days ago. The first TWELVE MINUTES of his speech was rambling about Palmer, culminating in a claim that other pros were impressed by his penis when they showered with him. Sounds like a perfectly normal well balanced person who should definitely lead the free world.
@drrajraina@SamanthaLaDuc This hits a nice sweet spot for the market, because it pushes dovish policy from the Fed *without* being something concerning for the present economy. In particular the period being revised is already reflected in earnings so it's irrelevant to stocks, beyond the Fed reaction.
@SamanthaLaDuc Sahm Rule triggers when 3mo avg unemployment rate is 0.5% higher than the lowest reading from last 12mo. If you applied this revision to unemployment (you shouldn't) it would *increase* the lowest 12mo reading, but *not* change the 3mo avg. So it would *decrease* Sahm Rule.
@GooodOleDee@SamanthaLaDuc BLS regularly revises its numbers. Previously we thought the economy added 2.9M jobs from Apr 2023 to Mar 2024, turns out it added 2.1M, still a healthy number but not as spicy. That is all...she's just sensationalizing it with sirens and huge misinterpretation of the Sahm rule.
@ReutterDavid@SamanthaLaDuc You beclown yourself. This revision says that from Apr23-Mar24 the economy *added* 2.1M jobs. Previously we thought it had added 2.9M. It's a sizable revision, but it's not saying we were in recession. We very obviously weren't.
@notahypocrite88@SamanthaLaDuc No. This revision is for the 12mo ending in March 2024. So current unemployment stats aren't affected at all. Also this is a preliminary revision; even the official stats from that period won't change until the final revision in January.
Side note: this is all perfectly normal.
@SamanthaLaDuc Asinine. -818k over 12mo, not March. And jobs still avg +175k/mo over that 12mo, no losses at all. Meanwhile if this revision was applied to unemployment, it would *untrigger* the Sahm rule; the U-3 12mo low would be higher, while the 3mo avg would be unchanged. Be smarter pls.
@Agnostideist @MLB Crikey can we just enjoy a good thing from the past without whining and moaning about the present? Things weren't better back then...you were just a child.
