We are so happy to celebrate our newest teachers. It has been a different experience for sure, but they will transition to classrooms this fall as flexible, resilient, and well-prepared teachers. Big adventures ahead!
We love that we can put audio in #GoogleSlides, but wouldn't it be nice if we could have 1 audio file play across a certain set of Slides?
Here's the hack to make it happen: (steps are in the post)

I found this on Facebook and just had to share! Always make time for yourself! This is something I want to give a try at least once a week if not more!
One way my internship is including #communication is the school principal records the morning announcements and uploads them to YouTube, the schools website and the schools Facebook page so that everyone can see them or review them at any time. #ITIf20
This looks like a great idea for #communication with parents for #remotelearning. I can't wait to find out more about this tool and utilize it in my future classroom. #ITIf20
Pearland ISD is excited to launch Peach Jar, a new digital flyer communication tool that allows for wide online distribution, combining convenience and safety for parents, with a cost-effective, wider reach for organizations! Learn more: https://t.co/1fKNh1eJht
@LWMEdProf Digital #communication is very convenient for families when they have a question or concern about their child. In my internship we use Google Meets for #remotelearning this makes it easy for parents to ask the teacher questions by just a click of a button. #ITIf20
On the blog 👉 Digital safety expert Dr. Elizabeth Milovidov explains why digital citizenship is essential — and how we can all work together to build it.

In my internship my students use Clever to log into their Chrome books. After using their clever badge to log in the students have access to all of the things that are in their Clever. #ITIf20#Communication
https://t.co/CWuHV5PDVP I believe this is useful in the classroom but not outside of it. This is because if another student gets ahold of another’s Clever badge they now have access to their information and materials. What are your thoughts?
@LWMEdProf Since we are in a hybrid classroom they take their badges back and forth but are usually kept in their computer cases. So it could easily be dropped or lost. Where if they were to only use them in the classroom there could be a holder for them or on their desks.
@LWMEdProf In my internship there is currently no digital citizenship being addressed other then your basic be respectful to others, respect property (their chrome books) and to speak kindly. I wish digital citizenship was being talked about in my internship since we are completely virtual.
This is a great math manipulative to use in class! Not only does it allow the student to read the equation out loud while piecing it together but it allows them to show how they got the answer they got.
This was a great lesson! Got us out of our comfort zones and allowed us to see how an ESL student thinks when our into a classroom. Great work Professor Chakravarthi!
This morning, Professor Chakravarthi demonstrated an English Language Learner Simulation by talking in Hindi to model the interpersonal communication and academic language for her EDUC 230 (Learners with Exceptional & Diverse Needs) Class.
