@StarbasePhotos@SawyerMerritt@Tesla This was right behind my work (Rivian Knox) and never heard about it! They drive through here all the time. That lot is for the Rosicrucian Order. Bunch of older people park there.
All Gen 2 R1’s and R2’s will be capable of P2P. In my view, they are adding LiDAR to collect more data and catch up to Tesla (it could take years, yes, but they have the 2nd mover advantage). Also some view it as extra safety. And finally, some believe that you need LiDAR and radar to have a perfect unsupervised or driverless vehicle. Through, I see driverless Robotaxis and FSD Cybercabs in Dallas a 100 times a day and they are camera only. I guess In a couple years we will see who is correct or maybe Tesla and Rivian both get it right with different hardware types.
Thank you @SawyerMerritt for giving an honest review. I have followed you for years and learned about Tesla/EVs from you.
When I heard of Rivian it became a dream vehicle and dream company to work for (I grew up in a small town and love off-roaders/boxy SUVs). Now I work at Rivian and see so many Tesla influencers hating on Rivian (I never talk bad about Tesla to my clients because it’s a great, innovative company). Makes me sad that people want my favorite brand to fail.
I’m glad you give honest reviews that aren’t guided by bias. That’s why I still follow you and rely on you for Tesla/EV info. Thanks.
@mkryst70@Mikekantorski I mean yeah but still sucks that there aren’t awnings at most chargers like gas stations. I didn’t use an adapter for the Polestar 2 I rented but still got soaked in the couple seconds I was out there. But I guess there is bigger things to complain about in life lol
