@reidouse Totally agree. A lot of HS coaches don’t look at quality…because defining quality and asking players to give up a shot for a better one can get in the way keeping kids/parents happy or not.
@reidouse I think girls elevate much better off a two foot pro-hop finish, than a euro step. Both are serving the same purpose. However, you can still pivot out of the pro-hop. I teach normal inside plant 1-foot layups to youth kids before anything else…build complexity from there
@JaimeLardis CC needs to take her game across the Atlantic Ocean. Don’t fight a battle you will not win. The WNBA has an agenda…take her out and end her career.
@hardwoodtexas I call this Oklahoma shooting. 1:00 time constraint. Let the kids establish a goal and build it. If they don’t reach goal…they condition. A great conditioning drill by itself.
Be the person in someone's life who refuses to let them settle.
Think about the person in your life who believed in you before you believed in yourself. Who pushed you when you wanted to quit. Who refused to let you play small.
Now ask yourself — am I being that person for someone else? Someone around you needs that right now.
Insecure coaches tend to hire people who will not challenge them and who flatter their ego, rather than individuals with strong expertise who can improve the program.
