Met Freeman: those are ID tags, not zip ties. Patients everywhere are given such tags. Completly normal. Nothing to see here.

@RamAbdu @EuroMedHR These are some id tags. Children (and other patients) everywhere are given such tags. So they were on one hand, as the photo pretty much says. then the poster made up the info about both hands tied, and the re-poster did not think about it.

بمناسبة مقتل أبو شباب أتذكر ما حدثني به أحد الرجال الذين اعتقلوا أثناء الاجتياح البري الأول لمدينة غزة، وهو أن الجيش جمع خمسة من الفلسطينيين في مكان واحد، وبينما كانت وحدة الجيش تتحضر لأمر ما اكتشف الخمسة أن أحدهم يعرف العبرية جيدا، فطلبوا منه ألا يخبر الجنود بذلك، لا لشيء ولكن حتى لا ينبهوا الجنود لأمر ليس فيه فائدة، وما إن دخل عليهم الضابط حتى قام الرجل الذي يعرف العبرية وتحدث معهم ظنا منه أن ذلك سيحميه فتكون له خصوصية، وبالفعل كان صغار الجنود يخصونه بالسجائر وبقايا المياه المعدنية ويتحدثون معه، حتى جاء الضابط المسؤول بعد ساعات وطلب منه أن يفعل شيئا أخافه، ولما أراد أن يعبر عن خوفه ورفضه، ضربه أحد الجنود على وجهه وطلب منه الالتزام بالأمر.

خرج الرجل وعاد بعد يوم ويده مبتورة وفي حالة صعبة للغاية، جلس مع الشبان ثم أخبرهم بأن الضابط طلب منه أن يذهب إلى منطقة ليقطع أسلاك بعض عبوات المقاومة وقد ألبسوه سماعات لاسلكية ليتواصلوا معه، الخلاصة أنه حاول قطع سلك فانفجرت فيه عبوة أدت إلى قطع يده، ولكن الجنود لم يكلفوا أنفسهم عناء علاجه حتى، وأعطوه قطعة قماش ليربط يده المقطوعة بها بنفسه وهو يصرخ.

المهم أن الرجل سأل الضابط بعد الحادثة "أنت كنت عارف انه راح تنفجر العبوة ليش اخترتني أنا؟" فرد الضابط "أنت اللي اخترتنا مش احنا اللي اخترناك."
