Transformers from our partners play a vital role in sustaining the resilience of our energy system, and Azerbaijani gas supplies helped Ukraine endure the extraordinarily difficult wartime winter of 2025-2026.

🇺🇦🤝🇦🇿 New opportunities for educational partnership: Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture and Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction signed a memorandum at the WUF13 in Baku. Strengthening academic ties, innovation, and future reconstruction.

As part of a working trip to the Republic of Azerbaijan I held a number of important working meetings aimed at strengthening international partnerships and attracting investments for the development of the Kyiv region.

Together with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan @Husyev and members of parliament of Ukraine Valery Kolyukh and Mykola Halushko we visited the production facilities of ATEF Group, a leading manufacturer of transformer and electrical equipment in Azerbaijan. The company has begun investing in Ukraine and implementing a project to build a plant in the west of our country. During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation, developing energy infrastructure, and opportunities for further business expansion in the Kyiv region. Our region has significant economic potential, a favorable geographical location, developed logistics, and effective mechanisms for supporting investors. In particular, a "business nanny" operates, which provides comprehensive business support at all stages of project implementation. The Kyiv region is open to international investment and partnership. We are interested in creating new industries, developing modern infrastructure, and creating additional jobs for our people. Also, together with the head of the Irpin community, Angela Makeyeva, we met with the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district, Massim Mammadov. Today, Lachin is one of the centers of large-scale development and modernization of infrastructure. Modern infrastructure projects are being actively implemented in the district, residential quarters, social and administrative facilities are being built, and comfortable living conditions are being created for people. This experience is extremely valuable for the Kyiv region. Our communities, which were destroyed as a result of russian aggression, are also undergoing large-scale restoration. It is important that Irpin already has partnership relations with the city of Lachin, and Azerbaijan has become a reliable partner in implementing projects to rebuild the social infrastructure of the community. We are working to ensure that international cooperation brings concrete results for the economic development and restoration of the Kyiv region.

I had a fruitful call with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister @Bayramov_Jeyhun.

I thanked my colleague for the recent visit and hospitality during our leaders’ talks in Qabala. We focused on the implementation of the agreements reached during these negotiations and discussed further steps to advance our bilateral cooperation.

We also exchanged views on the regional security situation and broader international developments.

Ukraine is grateful to Azerbaijan for its consistent support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for humanitarian assistance, particularly in the energy sector.

We agreed to maintain active dialogue and continue our contacts.
