Aspiring German/American Chemist. Was an undergrad in the Gellman group at UW-Madison (Class of 2020). Currently working in the MacMillan lab at Princeton
The @Stache_Lab has discovered that a black pigment present in many plastics drives depolymerization. Their latest two papers, in @ACSPublications and @J_A_C_S, showcase the potential.
Congrats Hanning, Sewon, Liat, Erik, Erin!

🎄A new festive µMap photocatalyst and an RNA-seq workflow for profiling the proteomic & transcriptomic magic of nuclear condensates. 🎁🎁🧬🔬Big congrats to Roderick, Niels, Brandon, Philip, Iakovos and @MacMillan_Lab for this Christmas miracle! ✨✨✨ https://t.co/N9BSm6A8Vt
Our latest chemical biology paper is out now in JACS! We developed a platform to profile the phagocytic surface proteome in a temporally resolved manner. Congrats to Sean, Jacob and James! @HuthSean@JacobGeri1@JamesO760
Check out our latest article in Nature Chemical Biology where an intracellular micromap proximity labeling platform is established to investigate stress granule disassembly mechanisms. Congrats to Roderick, Steve and Sean!

I was taken by surprise this morning when congratulatory emails started arriving in my inbox. I'm incredibly honored, grateful, and humbled to be included among such an esteemed group of scientists, many of whom I’ve admired for decades.
While this recognition is individual, science is fundamentally a collaborative and team effort. I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to my extraordinary trainees whose talent, creativity, resourcefulness and persistence have built everything that our lab is known for and taken our research in directions I had never imagined; to my mentors who ignited my curiosity and led by example; to my collaborators who have introduced me to new fields and inspired me with the beauty of their science; to my colleagues who have so generously supported and advocated for me time and again; and to the community of cell biologists, molecular biologists, and neuroscientists who have trusted and incorporated our technologies into their research, given us invaluable feedback, and inspired us to continue building.
Being able to do science, to expand human understanding of the natural world, is an enormous privilege and joy. I can't wait to see what the future holds for molecular technologies that enable scientists to probe proteins, RNA, and living systems in new ways!
In @Nature, our µMap platform synergizes with the @MuirLab's split intein tech, where the power of photo-proximity labeling helps us tracks transient, disease-relevant chromatin interactions. Congrats to
@CiaranSeath, Antony, and the whole team!

Just found out the final piece of my PhD work has been published in @J_A_C_S I am so grateful to everyone involved in this project, especially my advisor Prof Guangbin Dong, without whom it would not have been possible for me to accomplish this work.
