“Every weekend, we plan to gather at one historical place in Hyderabad. We, the Cycling Community of Hyderabad with the movement Hyderabad Cycling Revolution version 4.0, had the second instance of Musi River Community Engagement yesterday.
Standing under a grand old tamarind tree which is near Osmania General Hospital that dates back to 1908—a tree that once saved 150 lives during the floods—we feel a deep connection to our city’s history. Mohammed Haseeb, our city's heritage expert, brings these stories to life, especially for the students who join us, eager to learn and be inspired.
The Musi River Rejuvenation project is in progress, and we want to play our part in raising awareness and driving action to protect this lifeline of Hyderabad. We believe in the power of community and that together, we can make a tangible difference.
This initiative isn’t just about cycling; it’s about connecting with our city and each other. It’s about understanding our heritage and taking steps to preserve it. With the support of GHMC and guidance from Commissioner Amrapali madam, our journey is as meaningful as it is enjoyable.
Also, the upcoming Happy Hyderabad ride is our Freedom Ride on August 15, supporting the Hyderabad Cycling Revolution campaign for the adoption of active mobility. If you’re passionate about making a difference. Let’s pedal towards a brighter, more connected Hyderabad.”
