@Rod39637341 @Pikmin_or Censorships can be a whole different topic, as they happen to deal with external regulations, and since Japan, America and EU all have different rating systems, it can be pretty hard to keep all the original content without changing the original rating and intended audience

Sadly, not every translation can ever hope to be one-on-one, but to think these translation processes are only validated by one person from the entire dev team seems like an understatement.

Of course this also depends on the professionalism of the localization team, as bad examples do exist

@Rod39637341 @Pikmin_or It's not like in every case authors are unable to check if localizations are faithful oe not, these processes are harldy just one-sided translations, as localizations teams work with developers to integrate any possible changes

@Pikmin_or I totally get it, but I'd say it's still cool to have both versions exist, plus imo the XC2 translation had a lot of thought put into those kinds of changes

True, and even when Xenogears wasn't well handled, it lead up to healthier localization processes within SE, so thats good

Localizations add their own touch to the works and it makes up for just another incredible experiece regardless. It's literally just more official content
