Prof Praveen and I had the privilege of meeting the Consul-General of The Kingdom of Netherlands in Bangalore, along with a delegation from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, The Netherlands. We briefed them on our DST-NWO funded Lodestar project on early warning systems.

Our recent study founds that global forest fire indices (reanalysis) have high accuracy, can yield the fire seasonality, and the indices are strongly correlated with met variables. Can be used for extended forecasts, and sectoral analysis.
