@PaperBagInvest@AlThingsF1nanc3 I also think of the inherent slow-and-boring nature of insurance itself as a bit of a moat in and of itself. Both from the perspective of an individual and a potential business, going into insurance isn't fast or exciting (due to the regulations and slow feedback you mentioned).
@SawyerMerritt Dang, those battery options and 'up to' range imply that the standard ~$50k version will have ~235miles of range. With the smaller interior volume and storage, this seems pretty unappealing. Does it still use drum brakes like the ID4?
@cybertruck You should park a Cybertruck, F150 and Silverado next to each other near the flame trench for the next launch and make a commercial comparing how they fare.
I would think that cross-selling is made much easier if they can offer something that only LMND can offer (besides just a discount). Maybe 10x voting on the Giveback program for multi-line customers? Costs LMND nothing and might matter to a good customer.
@jamesdouma@SawyerMerritt Yeah, I can't help but worry that they're going to be a bit too ambitious on the demo and have another... memorable presentation.
@Tesla@larsmoravy Feature request: I regularly need to go into the passenger doors of my car for several minutes after arriving at my destination to unload and access things in the back. Can we get a setting to prevent HVAC and media playing until someone's in the driver seat?
@DillonLoomis If I look back over the last 5 years and imagine a content creator who accurately predicted the dates and milestones that Tesla ended up hitting... they would have consistently been considered a permabear. The business is still fantastic, but missing expectations is the norm.
