Believe it or not, Bluey is incredibly nostalgic for parents today that grew up in the "Rad 80s" like Bandit. Hence there's a whole generation of men in their 40s & late 30s that are like Bandit (albeit not quite as funny). So, it hits because the writers are just telling real, lived stories.
