We would like to formally thank #VectorNav for being a Tortoise Sponsor and for proving our team a VN-100 IMU! This device will be used to provide the orientation of our TBM’s cutter head. This feedback will be used to localize our cutter head, allowing us to steer our TBM!

Lastly, meet the pets of Hyperloop UC! During Software meetings, you typically saw Pixel looking at birds or zooming around the room. During General meetings, you could typically hear Lucy chirping motivational words. It’s easy to say that this team has the world’s best pets!
Meet Wayne Stegner! Wayne is a grad student finishing up his thesis. He has been on the team for 4 years and has been our Software Lead for 3 years now. When he is not working on his thesis, he is most likely trying to convince people that Linux is the superior operating system.
Meet Stephen! He is a senior Mechanical Engineering student with a minor in Mathematics and on our Structures team. He worked on the cutting head of the TBM. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, reading, watching motorsports, and contemplating online shopping decisions
