This Pale Rider is an advanced Titan model. It has saber storage on its backpack instead of the holster/scabbard style, but I think the side carry is cool. Luckily it has a telescoping javelin with no storage spot so I rationalized with that and added it on his waist.

After 2 intense builds I wanted something straightforward. I was a bit surprised how many stickers this guy needed and being a pbandai exclusive I had no color packaging to plan touchups. But I kept it mostly simple. #gundam #gunpla #plamo

To practice weathering I used a small McDonalds toy. This was timed out well with the Gundam x McDonalds tie-in of the past month or so in Japan. I posted to the Japanese McDonalds account but got no engagement! So here are the pictures again. 🧵5

#gunpla time! This one was a long time coming. As soon as I watched 08 MS Team last year I knew it was how I’d truly test my weathering abilities. That show is so grounded in the grime of war I couldn’t ignore that aspect when building the 79-G ground type. 🧵1 #gundam #plamo

With the kit all weathered I even took some shots outside. If I’d been into gunpla in college I know I’d drive around the foothills finding a ton of great settings where the size/scale could be faked. Alas these days I’m limited to my back yard. 🧵4

I got impatient and made some bad calls so the hooks didn’t work out.
I did find a solution for the photos and have a fix curing now.
Lastly, finding the right lighting angle. That glow is a gel nail curing lamp pen! Anyway. I think it all paid off. Enjoy Gundam Zirius 🧵fin

This is used for some expert tech that ISN’T this. But look at that pretty color. This process ended up making the ribbon pliable. Now I needed a method to reshape it and boiling water worked like a charm! Lastly, I intended to use these rungs to attach it to Zirius🧵
