Having an emergency, but you’re unable to talk? Now in Pierce County you can text 911. This gives the ability for people with disabilities to have easier access to 911 or if you’re in a situation where you cannot talk to a dispatcher. The system is active so please don’t test it.

This mornings, #OrtingFirefighters were dispatched for a motor vehicle accident. Crews arrived to find one car fully involved in fire and two patients on scene. E72 and E40 provided fire attack while M40 and M72 treated and transported the patients to nearby trauma centers. #IAFF
