TONY: I hate how we decide who comes into the restaurant, it's so elitist!
STUCK UP FRENCH CHEF: Grow up. This is the real world. What do you expect, no reservations?
🪡Welcome to #TIFF where they will charge you hundreds of dollars to watch a movie about Hind Rajab but call the police to censor a projection of Hind and other Palestinians on the side of a building.
When Maryam was killed today, @AP didn’t name her in their post & instead tried to distance themselves by labelling her a freelancer. @Reuters called Hossam a “contractor.”
It’s time for all journalists to think deeply about the outlets they work for.
Thank you @valeriezink
Here’s Yglesias three weeks ago lamenting that an @imeupolicy poll was horrifically biased because it pegged NYC Dem support for cutting off weapons to Israel at 79%.
Quinnipiac today has it nationally at 75%.
Do something about it. No one cares about the strongly worded statements. They want you to stop sending Israel the bullets that are appearing in children's skulls
Israel has killed over 200 journalists in Gaza. The only reason they “regret” it now is because the targeted strike was caught on camera and the journalists worked for major international media outlets.
We need accountability and an independent investigation into these murders.
In the end, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris lost antiwar voters for the same reason they lost voters upset about the economy and Biden’s age: they simply did not listen to what voters were telling them.

"All crossings & routes must be used to allow a flood of aid into Gaza."
But as has been the case for months & months of starvation & genocide, what ACTION will Canada take to make sure that "flood" happens? Where are the consequences for Israel's contempt of international law?

It’s fascinating that Israel can kill (at least) 18,500 children, engage in systemic rape of Palestinian captives, create the largest cohort of child amputees in modern history and these guys still play the role of smol arbiter of Laws Of War and human rights.
“If we don’t do something now, we are on a dangerous road. A day of reckoning is coming. As a world, we’re going to see it. And we have no excuse.
We have no excuse when everything comes to bear and this box is opened and we see inside. We have no excuse as a nation. We have no excuse as a world to look at this and say we didn’t know. We do know…
When we start to go in to northern Gaza, we are going to see things that are going to bring the world to their knees. Mark my words, we are going to see human suffering like the world has not seen in a long time. And it’s going to bring us to our knees. And we have an opportunity right now to stop this and to do the right thing. And if we don’t, we are complicit in that. And the world is going to see it. And that day is coming.”
