Why are allegedly 20% of seats remaining vacant across IISERs while deserving students are deprived of quality education?

My son scored 126 marks in IAT with a rank of 6083, yet he has not secured admission in any IISER while capacity reportedly remains unfilled.

When the Indian government is heavily pushing for research and development, why keep seats empty instead of filling them? This goes against the nation's scientific vision. We demand transparency and answers through the Right to Information (RTI).
