Iranian students are chanting “Javid Shah” (“Long Live the King”) and tearing down pictures of Khomeini, who led the anti-Pahlavi movement and founded the Islamic Republic. After 47 years of rule by anti-Pahlavi forces, Iranians are fed up.
Alireza Sepahi was executed this morning for protesting against the Islamic Republic regime of Iran.
One day, millions of Iranians will dance on the graves of the terrorists of the Islamic regime who unjustly took your lives.
Alireza Sepahi got married in prison. The next day, the regime in Iran executed him.
He married Mahshad Kashani while facing a death sentence. They were denied even a final meeting as husband and wife. She is serving five years in prison. Now she must grieve her husband behind bars.
The Islamic Republic executed Alireza alongside another detained protester, Alireza Raeesi.
These were two people with families and futures. Remembering their names matters. So does holding those responsible for their deaths accountable.

Statement of Support by 133 Iranian Political Prisoners and Activists Regarding Prince Reza Pahlavi’s Visit to Germany
"In the Name of Iran
To the Esteemed Board of Directors and Officials of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom
With respect,
We, the undersigned political prisoners currently imprisoned in Iran, wish to express our gratitude for your Foundation’s decision to award the 2026 Freedom Prize to the people of Iran, and to entrust Prince Reza Pahlavi with receiving it on behalf of, and in trust for, the Iranian nation. We are grateful that you have recognised the Iranian people’s struggle and remembered the suffering of political prisoners and those who have lost their lives in the cause of freedom.
This letter reaches you and the international community from behind the walls of Iran’s prisons. Among us are those who have spent many years of their lives behind bars. Torture and pressure on prisoners and their families have become the price of demanding freedom in our country. We have endured this suffering in the hope of a free Iran, and we want our voices to be heard.
During the uprising of 8 and 9 January 2026, people took to the streets demanding freedom and an end to the Islamic Republic, and were met with a bloody crackdown. Published reports and estimates speak of tens of thousands killed. Thousands more were arrested, and countless families continue to mourn their loved ones or await news of their fate.
Since those days, the repression has not remained confined to the streets. The execution of protesters and political prisoners has continued week after week. In many of these cases, there has not even been an allegation of murder, and sentences have been based on confessions obtained under torture and unfair trials. They are taking the lives of people who demanded a livelihood, freedom, and the right to choose how they live. No one who took to the streets empty-handed to demand their rights, with no blood on their hands, should be taken to the gallows.
We, the signatories of this letter, regard Prince Reza Pahlavi as our political representative and the voice of our demands before the international community. He is our voice. We have entrusted him with representing us on the path to Iran’s freedom, and we have designated no other person as our representative. We ask Prince Reza Pahlavi to carry this message to the world at the award ceremony.
Our demand is an end to the Islamic Republic and the establishment of a free and representative government that preserves Iran’s territorial integrity and ensures the separation of religion from politics and government.
We support the leadership of Prince Reza Pahlavi in the transition to such an Iran.
The future of the country must be determined through the free vote of the people, and the rights of all citizens must be respected.
We will accept no solution that disregards the freedom of the Iranian people or the end of religious rule.
We call upon governments and international institutions to be the voice of those who have been executed, their families, and the prisoners awaiting execution. Take immediate action to save the lives of these prisoners and halt the executions. Do not allow innocent people who protested for a better life and for freedom to be executed. Apply effective pressure for the unconditional release of political prisoners and an end to torture. Demand access to prisons for independent monitors and insist that the fate of those detained and disappeared be established.
End the policy of appeasement and deal-making with the Islamic Republic. The lives and freedom of the Iranian people must not be subjects of compromise. End political support for this government and transactions that help prolong its rule and strengthen its machinery of repression. Those responsible for killing and torture must be held accountable, and their crimes must not be forgotten or overlooked in any agreement.
Iran’s frozen assets belong to the Iranian people. We call upon the governments holding these resources to establish a lawful and transparent mechanism through which, in coordination with Prince Reza Pahlavi and subject to independent oversight and transparent auditing, these assets can be used to support the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom and the families of political prisoners and those who have lost their lives. These resources must never again be placed at the disposal of the machinery of repression or networks affiliated with the regime.
Help the Iranian people gain access to a free and open internet. Include the provision of equipment and funding for Starlink and other secure means of communication in your programmes of support, so that people can remain connected with one another and coordinate their civic activities and protests. Do not allow the government to use internet shutdowns to conceal its repression and sever the Iranian people’s connection with the world.
We call upon the international community to support Prince Reza Pahlavi’s efforts for the freedom of Iran and to take seriously the demands of the Iranian people that he conveys to the world. Your support must translate into practical action to save the lives of prisoners and empower the Iranian people.
We want an Iran whose government is accountable to its people and whose resources are used for their well-being. We want to contribute to the world through our knowledge, work, and culture, and to live in peace with our neighbours and other nations. Iran’s future must be free from terrorism, warmongering, and repression.
We ask the Friedrich Naumann Foundation to carry this message to governments and public opinion around the world, and we ask Prince Reza Pahlavi to give voice to the cries of prisoners behind bars at this ceremony.
Be the voice of us and of the families seeking justice. For those awaiting execution, every day matters. Do not leave the people of Iran alone on this path.
With respect and in the hope of a free Iran,
A group of political prisoners currently imprisoned in Iran

The Islamic Republic terrorists just murdered Iranian patriots #AlirezaRaeisi & #AlirezaSepahi by execution.
#IranMassacre is still ongoing.
There's no new regime.
The Islamic Republic will keep raping, murdering and terrorising the world unless it's eliminated.
#JavidShah
One more reason the Islamist regime must go; and the sooner, the better.
The longer it stays in power, the greater the cost and pain it will impose on the United States. Once we accept that simple fact, finding a way to end this regime is not mission impossible.
The real obstacle is the endless self-delusion: convincing ourselves that these apocalyptic, genocidal Islamists are somehow not that bad, merely misunderstood, just like us, manageable, or capable of being reasoned with.
As long as we remain high on that fantasy, even the most achievable solution will look impossible.
The Islamic Republic has executed Alireza Raeesi and Alireza Sepahi, two protesters arrested during Iran’s Lion and Sun national uprising.
Facing execution, Alireza Sepahi married fellow prisoner Mahshad Kashani, who was sentenced to five years in prison. A heart attack delayed his execution in July, but the regime remained determined to kill him.
"These state killings will not go unanswered. We will pursue accountability through fair trials for everyone responsible, from the officials who ordered them and the judges who issued the sentences to those who carried them out."
Established by Prince Reza Pahlavi and chaired by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shirin Ebadi, Iran’s committee drafting transitional justice regulations is preparing the legal framework for prosecuting the regime’s crimes. Its warning is clear:
“Every execution adds to your criminal responsibility. Do not expect these crimes to be forgotten, or count on impunity or forgiveness.”
#LastBreath
ALIREZA SEPAHI, A YOUNG IRANIAN PROTESTER, WAS SENTENCED TO DEATH.
HIS EXECUTION WAS PREVIOUSLY HALTED AFTER A HEART ATTACK. HE WAS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL, THEN RETURNED TO PRISON TO FACE DEATH AGAIN. YESTERDAY, HE MARRIED HIS FIANCÉE, MAHSHAD KASHANI, OVER THE PHONE WHILE THEY WERE BOTH IMPRISONED. THIS MORNING, HE WAS EXECUTED JUST ONE DAY AFTER THEIR WEDDING. THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC IS A TERRORIST REGIME HOLDING THE PEOPLE OF IRAN HOSTAGE. ITS USE OF EXECUTIONS TO SPREAD FEAR AND CRUSH DISSENT MUST BE CALLED OUT AND CONDEMNED. ALIREZA HAD LOVE, HOPES AND A FUTURE. THE STATE TOOK THAT FUTURE AWAY. THE PEOPLE OF IRAN DESERVE FREEDOM, DIGNITY AND JUSTICE.
