#Lastweek, our Chairman Shawn McCormick attended the American Mining Industry Roundtable in Washington, convened by @POTUS.

Trinity Metals is proud to play a role in strengthening U.S. critical mineral supply chains. Our Trinity Nyakabingo mine in Rwanda is the first and only mine in Africa supplying tungsten concentrate directly to the U.S., accounting for up to 20% of primary tungsten concentrate processed there, and Trinity was the first operating mine to receive @DFCgov financing.

We appreciated the opportunity to join the discussion and support a strong U.S.-Rwanda critical minerals partnership.

Today, RTB Deputy Director General @AgaBisengo , received a delegation from AVIC INNO, a Chinese holding company specializing in engineering, particularly civil engineering and aviation infrastructure.

The visit aimed to explore potential collaboration between RTB and AVIC INNO in addressing TVET needs that align with the company’s areas of expertise and intervention. AVIC INNO has operated across Africa for many years, with a presence in countries including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania.

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen professional driving skills, ethics, and road safety, the Association of Heavy Truck Drivers in Rwanda ( @Acplrwa ) recently launched the Heavy Truck Professional Driving Vocational Training Center (ACPLRWA VTC) in Masoro, Kigali.

With over 120 trainees already enrolled in its first intake, the center will prepare competent, ethical, and safety-conscious truck drivers. Beyond driving skills, trainees will gain knowledge in vehicle operation, road safety, cargo handling, basic vehicle maintenance, and the critical role they play in driving Rwanda's economic growth. #NanjyeNdiTVET #SkillsThatMatter

Yesterday, RTB Deputy Director General @AgaBisengo welcomed a delegation from Fondazione Marcegaglia ETS, Italy, led by Secretary General Chiara Alluisini, as part of the organization's 10th anniversary of operations in Rwanda.

The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on a decade of partnership and its contribution to skills development in Rwanda. Over the past 10 years, Fondazione Marcegaglia ETS has empowered more than 1,271 youth, distributed 278 enterprise toolkits, and supported the establishment of 561 micro-businesses.

Discussions focused on strengthening workforce development and exploring future investments in TVET, including plans to establish a Vocational Training Centre of Excellence in Bugesera District and deepen collaboration with RTB to deliver quality short-course TVET programmes.

Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to equipping Rwanda's youth with market-relevant skills and expanding opportunities for decent employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.

Today, Rwanda TVET Board (RTB), in partnership with the International Labour Organization (@ilo ) and @SOLVIT_AFRICA as the implementing partner, hosted a High-Level Breakfast Meeting with leading technology industry stakeholders to officially launch the Quality Apprenticeship Pilot Program.

The program aims to strengthen the transition from school to employment by connecting Technical Secondary School graduates in Software Development with structured, high-quality apprenticeship opportunities. Through hands-on workplace learning, participants will gain practical experience, strengthen industry-relevant competencies, and enhance their employability in Rwanda's rapidly evolving digital economy.

Chaired by @RwandaICT, the meeting brought together senior representatives from government, the Private Sector Federation (PSF), @rwictchamber , development partners, and companies committed to hosting apprentices under the program.

The discussions reaffirmed a shared commitment to expanding workplace learning opportunities, strengthening collaboration between industry and the TVET sector, and developing the skilled digital workforce needed to accelerate Rwanda's digital transformation and socio-economic development. #NanjyeNdiTVET

This week, Muhororo TSS and Cyanika TSS hosted the second edition of the Student Entrepreneurship Competition under the AFTER II Project, with the support of @AFD_France and @LuxDev_HQ.

Out of 42 projects nurtured through 12 months of mentoring, 24 were awarded cash prizes and technical support to help transform their ideas into sustainable businesses.

The competition showcased students’ remarkable ability to turn classroom knowledge into innovative, real-world solutions that create jobs, drive entrepreneurship, and contribute to Rwanda’s economic development.
