Acne is a recognised side effect of JAK inhibitors, particularly in patients with a previous history of acne. Mechanisms unclear. Treatment algorithms include combination of topical and oral therapies depending on severity

Risk of developing a second IMID in Crohns patients who have switched biologics (1st line Anti-TNF -Switching to 2nd line Use/Vedo/ Anti-TNF)

🕣 5 year Follow-up

➡️ 9.88% risk of developing a 2nd IMID over 10 year f/up.

➡️ Psoriasis ( 59.8%) & Ank Spond (20%) are the most common

✅ Switching to Ustekinumab or Vedo as a 2nd biologic has a decreased risk of 2nd IMID compared with treating with another Anti-TNF.

➡️44% c section (higher than National average due to active disease/Perianal disease).
➡️71% breast fed- no linked to serious infection
➡️4.6% congenital malformation (=Nat Ave.)
➡️1% autism

❗️*Pre-term birth linked to higher infection rates*

✅Continuing IBD medication is recommended though-out all 3 trimesters (USA model differs to European).
